THIS JUST IN

I recently completed this song, "Salvation," with a very specific genre in mind: Vampires. What is it about vampires that through the ages, still beckons us to this day, though frightened as we may be of what may lurk in the shadows, to open that creaking door and peer insde a dark room? Is it maybe that within each of us lies a restless heart, a wandering spirit that craves the kind of burning passion to connect with that which resides only at the edges of our darker, wilder side?

"Salvation" is the quintessential song for a vampire film or TV show. It's a dark tale of longing that evokes loneliness and foreboding; an epic journey of an ancient soul laying in wait for the object of his insatiable desire. It builds slowly to a crushing climax before leaving us where it began...alone. It is in a hard rock vein with gothic imagery without being Goth. It's heavy without being Metal. There are long musical passages suggesting underscore to accentuate a theme but the song has obvious edit points for shorter passages.

"Salvation" is immediately available for licensing. Publishing and master rights controlled by Arbinsongs. Instrumental version available.

Lyrics

SALVATION

By Mark Hermann & William Michael Leslie

feel uneasy
under my skin
on a moonless night
with hellhounds closing in
and she's got no recourse but end up at my door
a memory from deep inside
she's been here once before

CHORUS

I'm not asking for salvation
from the things that i may do
for we were drawn together
born from evermore
to feed my true desire...to bleed with you

and when you're dreaming
I hear you whisper my name
the candle's burned for a thousand years
just to pull you through the flame

I smell your innocence
in the tumble of your hair
and slowly drink your spirit int
the silence of your stare

CHORUS

SOLO SECTION

two spirits in the dark
bleeding into one
a taste of our eternity
to never see the sun

CHORUS (REPEAT)
